Winters Tree #3 by Matt Anderson
A snow storm - blizzard in rural Wisconsin. A lone tree standing it's ground through the Winter storm. I found this tree while trespassing. Trying to find a remote waterfall in the summertime, while evacuating frantically from a scary situation, my eye caught it! An intriguing specimen I knew I must somehow revisit.
Many months later, waiting for a Winter's Storm to paint the surroundings in a white bath of snow...and finally, the blizzard came!!! We only get one or two storms a year, appropriate for such shooting. Unfortunately, it's located in a far off extreme area, and with such snow, makes photographing quite the challenge in such conditions.
You can see a faint forest line lining the right-side, cloaked in white.
