While Hiking thru the Waimea Canyon, on the Island of Kauai, I was treated to this incredible site. The light was sweeping across this tree in a catch light sort of ghosting manner. What great light to stumble upon. The incline for which I set up the tripod was quite dangerous. Just behind the tree was a 1500’ shear drop. One of the more nerve racking shots I’ve ever taken. The sun was at a point in the sky where the shear cliffs behind the tree were in shadow, isolating the plateau area where I stood. Kauai, Hawaii
