Coasts of Ireland #37 - Coumeenoole Strand BW 2560px
Perched on the far western Dingle Peninsula is the striking grass-covered promontory of Coumeenoole Coast - Dunmore Head. This is the westernmost site of Ireland’s mainland and also one of the westernmost places in Europe. With undulating fields and centuries-old landmarks, Coumeenoole Coast is the quintessential iconic Irish countryside scene I had always envisioned in my mind. A scenic coastal postcard that truly is jaw dropping, a must experience. Across from Dumore Head (land form jetting out) are the isolated Blasket Islands.
